STEDTRAIN Proposal Recommendations
1. Coordinate your plans to submit a grant application with your principal as soon as possible to avoid last minute problems and delays. April first is not that far away. The STEDTRAIN Committee fully recognizes the demands and many unplanned events that occur in the daily lives of our teachers and school principals and how those events can be disruptive to any plans you make, usually at the most critical time. With those facts in mind, the Committee respectfully recommends that teacher applicants coordinate their plans to submit a grant application with their principals and network administrators as soon as possible to minimize the chances that your application will miss the submittal deadline. The principals and network administrators may not be available to fix any previously unknown problems during the last several days. Each of you correctly try to teach your students the importance of proper planning and handing in assignments on time, and this is a great opportunity for you to demonstrate to those same students that you practice what you teach. The STEDTRAIN Committee members truly appreciate all that you do for the students and our communities, and we applaud the initiative you show in applying for a STEDTRAIN Grant. Please consider using the grant application process as part of your classroom teaching efforts so that we can receive your application by the deadline.
2. Please read the STEDTRAIN Guidelines and the application carefully to ease the process for you.
These guidelines will help you understand the application process and offer clarification of the proposal evaluation criteria. The STEDTRAIN Committee members really do use these criteria in our scoring process. If you write to these criteria, you make the Committee’s job easier, and in the process, improve your chances of having your grant application accepted.
3. Please study the suggestions for completing the form before starting the process.
These suggestions are found in the Proposal Form Instructions.
Thank you.
